Armed robbers on run after bank heist

TWO armed robbers are on the run in Sydney after holding up a bank in the southern suburb of Oatley.
The bandits stormed the Commonwealth Bank on Frederick St at 9.55am (AEST) today, threatened staff and stole a sum of cash before fleeing in a white van, police said.
Both men were wearing masks and dark clothing, and one was armed with a firearm.
Police did not have full details about the hold-up but said no one was injured.
It is not yet known whether any customers were in the bank at the time.
The white van has been recovered and the men were last seen on foot in Mortdale.
One of the men was also sighted near railway lines near Mi Mi Street in Oatley.
"They are considered armed and dangerous and the public is urged not to approach them," a police spokesman said.
