A type of Woolworths milk is being recalled in Victoria and some NSW stores because of possible contamination.
Woolworths and National Foods have issued an immediate recall of two litre bottles of Woolworths Fresh Milk Lite.
The recall applies to the milk with a use by date of December 6 sold in all stores, including Woolworths, Safeway and Caltex Woolworths/Safeway petrol outlets, in Victoria.
The recall also applies to milk bought from Woolworths and Safeway stores in Albury, Corowa, Lavington and Moama in NSW.
"Routine testing has detected possible microbiological contamination and the product is being recalled as a precautionary measure," Woolworths said in a statement on Thursday.
"All potentially affected products have already been identified and removed from sale."
No other products are affected by the recall.
Customers who have purchased the product should not consume it and can return it to Woolworths or Safeway stores for a full refund.
Information about the recall can be found at www.woolworths.com.au or by calling 1800 638 434.
