Just installed Puppy Linux 4.3.1 on IBM Thinkpad 390X PIII 450MHz processor 120MB of ram and 10GB of hard drive. Full installation onto 2G ext2 Partition. There is a 250MB partition for swap file. The rest of hard drive space is formatted at fat32.
Every thing worked until shut down. Puppy WILL FREEZ at any shut down option except restart X or restart JWM. This happened when I run either the live CD, or boot from the hard drive.
Basically, immediately after I click on power off computer, or exit to prompt, or restart computer, Puppy freezes immediately. I would have to press the power button to power down the laptop and I won't be able to save anything to personal file. Of course, at the next boot, Puppy will complain of an improper shut-down.
I tried both the Puppy 4.3.1 and the Puppy 4.2.k2.6.21.7 for older PC and still have the same issue.
Can anybody please help?
