HP / COMPAQ PRESARIO V5000

The problem was that the boot keeps running at log screen. Tried to use Recovery Control to use chkdsk /r and defragment etc., no use. Finally tired to reinstall, by Hitting F11 during boot. But the installation needs a 2nd boot that failed to complete!
