Can I make the 2nd I-765 application (EAD) while waiting for the receipt for the 1st I-765 application for almost 2 months?
Our I-485 is pending, my I-765 application was delivered (priority mail with tracing number) to USCIS CA center on Aug 6, 05, but until today (Oct. 6, 05) the check has not been cashed and we have not got the receipt for it. I called USCIS about this situation, they told me the application may be misplaced and they gave the california service center a referral for my situation and ask me to wait the referral for 30 days, if no result for this referral, call back they will give me a 2nd referral. But some reasons, it is not good for me to wait 30 days after 30 days. I am afraid the application was lost somewhere, if that nomatter how long I wait, it is no use.
Would someone here give me some advice and analysis of my situation please? Does it hurt to make another application?
