The Buffalo Consulate started processing my application on May 28, 2003.
I had my medical exam in April 2004. In September, I submitted the additional documents including my current employment and residence etc. I have been waived from interview. I have asked three times about the status of my application. Each time, I got reply "backgorund check pending".
It has been approaching three years since the consulate started processing my application and a year and half for the background check. Now it is still in the background check processing. I wrote a letter to the Canadian Immigration Minister this August and this letter was transferred to the visa office. I got a letter from visa officer indicating they are still waiting for the background check from the other Canadian government department. They seem not to trace to see what has happened. This processing is beyound the normal timeframe of the application.
What should I do now? I have tried all my means.
Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
