排期快速跃进的最大理由是利用本年度剩余名额。如果EB2本年度还有不少剩余名额的话，EB2排期在9月份跃进到2005年10月1日 Make Sense，因为2005。10。1之前的Case提交了至少一年，应该有不少可以批准了。如果排期跃进到2005。10。1之后，对于这个日期之后的Case，移民局不可能在本年度批准，所以除了增加积压造成将来更大的排期倒退可能外，对利用本年度名额并无帮助。
