对于2004 年10月以前NIW 和485 concurrently filing cases，在你的485 receipt中Notice type一栏里的section后面你是属于“other basis for adjustment"，还是属于“adjustment as direct neneficiary of immigrant petition"?
我的receipt里是“other basis for adjustment"。我看了几个朋友的485 receipts, 有的跟我一样，有的却是“adjustment as direct neneficiary of immigrant petition". 关键的问题是被归属于“other basis for adjustment"一类的朋友的485都至今都没有被批下来。我问了我的律师，律师的回答如下：
“Thank you for your e-mail. The TSC has made all I-485s based on NIW cases as “other basis adjustment” while CSC, NSC and VSC had label I-485s based on NIW cases as “Directive Beneficiary of Immigration Petition”. Therefore, your case should be fine.”
律师的解释很牵强，而且不知道哪里来的根据。因为我上面提到朋友们都是在TSC申请的。
不知道是不是单身和家庭申请会有以上的差别。
希望论坛里的朋友能帮忙回答我的问题。我相信有很多人也有同样的疑惑。
