Hi Everyone,
I started working for a company with my OPT. They also filed H1B for me but it did not get approved until 3 months after my OPT expired. In the meantime, I still worked for them.
My questions are:
1) Will this cause problems for my I485 application? Will they notice that? I was able to transfer my H1B to a different company after that.
2) How should I fill out the working experience part on the I485 bio form? Should I leave a gap there for the time period between my OPT expiration and my H1B approval? I am concerned that it might draw their attention. However, if I do not leave a gap and make my experience continuous, then I will be telling them that I worked illegally.
This is quite a dilemma. Your help is very appreciated.
