Xiaobaitu and other experts,

My wife and I are in H1B status. I am the main applicant for the GC and our I-485 applications are pending for the priority date to become current.

I, and possibly my wife as well, will go to Vancouver, Canada for a short visit. We received the AP for both of us yesterday. Here are a few questions and I hope that the folks here can clarify the confusion.

1) Does the use of AP terminate a parolee's H1B status, even with no change of employer? Xiaobaitu said before that the H1B would remain valid, but there are also other disconcerting voices about this issue. Is anyone positive about the answer to this question? My wife just started her H1B so it is a very important decision for her about whether to use the AP(we all had EAD cards but never used them).

2) Neither my wife nor I left the U.S. within the past 7 years. We still have the original F-1 or F-2 Visa on our passport and the white I-94 card stapled onto it, although we do have the H-1B approval notice and the I-94 card for the H1B adjustment of status. For a week-long visit to Canada, do we need to hand in any I-94 card to the airline checkin counter? If we do, which one is needed (the original white card or the H1B adjustment card)? As a parolee, do I need to get another I-94 card on the flight back to the U.S.?

Thanks a lot for your help! Happy weekend for all.
