I find myself in a gray area: I applied for H1B renewal in April and it is still pending. I ted my I-485 in June and have got the receipt. I did not apply for EAD. My questions are:
1. Will my I-485 affect my H1B application?
2. If yes, should I apply for EAD now?
3. If again yes, will it be a problem if there is a gap between the expiration of my H1B (in about 20 days) and the EAD approval (who knows how long it takes?)
