Hi, I am stuck here.
I send out our applications(both me and myhu*****ands, in one package, one money order ) for I-485 through lawyer on July 2nd and my hu*****and got his receipt for I-485 on Aug. 13. Since I am the principle applicate, my lawyer told me there is no way they accept my hu*****and application without approve mine and asked me to wait. I wait for 50 days and nothing happened. So my hu*****and called USCIS and asked for his EAD application and at that time he was told the receipt # was void in their internal system although online status is still pending for him and the whole package was send back to the lawyer the same day the receipt was generated. The lawyer got his receipt # Aug 26 but not the package. It have been over 50 days now and still there is nothing. I called USCIS several times and they said I am not in the system and there is nothing they can do. I asked what we can do to my lawyer and my lawyer said there is nothing she can do except they got the package back. Now I am afraid that the package is lost...
Please advise me on this, feel really frustrated....
