Just called USCIS about the re-link 485 from NIW to EB1 waiting182007-10-05 15:04:29

USCIS officer said there is no way that I can re-link my 485 from one case(NIW) to another case(Eb1). They said I must submit another 485 based on EB1. Does anyone has the same experience? Does anyone successfully re-link 485 in 2007? I had a friend they successfully re-link last year. I don't know if the policy has been changed recently. Thanks.
