"I could not find the one I read before and here is the one may count.
"U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) reminds its customers that the agency’s new fee schedule is effective on July 30, 2007. Applications or petitions postmarked or otherwise filed on or after that date must include the new fee."

http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/FeeUpdate_07Jun29.pdf

However, the statement is not somewhat I remembered, or I remembered it in a wrong way. According to the above statement, you are subject to new fee because of "or otherwise filed" part.

To be safer, you'd better include two sets of fees, old one and new, with an explanation letter. If they accepted old fee, good; otherwise, you don't waste your time to make a third trip.

Under old fee, your kid under 14 is $225, no G-325A required.

Under new fee schedule, your I-485 is $1,010, and kid is $600 when filing with a parent. No fee for I-131 or I-765.

There is a post here in the forum, which instructed people similar in your situation, to re-send petition directly to a supervisor at NBC(?). I don't have the link handy though."
