Do I need to use premuim processing for I-140? Canadianj2007-10-23 20:16:29

My I-140 I-485 was filed in July , EB2, I got the receipt and finger print done. But I will be possiblly laid off, do I need to put $1000 extra money for USCIS to get premuim processing for my I-140 before being laid off?
How long will take it to get my I-140 approved without extra $1000?
