what will be my wife's status if I must use EAD rather than H1B? dalaohunew2008-03-24 18:19:01

My 140 is approved and 485 is pending with priority date March 1, 2006.I submitted my EB2 based 485 in July 2007. My wife just got her H4 visa at China. Questions:

(1) If I transfer to another university, can I transfer my current H1B renew application there? Can I continue to renew my H1B with unlimited time there before my 485 is approved?

(2) If the answer to (1) is “No” or I can apply for H1B at new university but only before Feb. 2009 (as I started using H1B in Feb. 2003), I will have to use my EAD card to work. In that case, what will be my wife’s status as she cannot apply for 485 or EAD before my priority date becomes current?
