I used my OPT to work and got H1b approval. Then lost my job and want to go back to school. I haven't finished my degree yet. When i applied for OPT, i originally wanted to to Pre-completion. But my school processed mine as post-completion and gave me an early expiration date on my i-20. So now my i-20 expired and I have to apply for reinstatement.
My school gave me a new I-20. But they told me that I have to have very good reasons for not finishing my degree before my OPT ends, or USCIS will reject my reinstatement application.
Pijiang, do you have any advise for me please?
