Again some questions about J1 Visa.
My GF was invited to a meeting In Rome in the middle of July, 2011. She is under several conditions: 1. Her current J1 visa from China was expired, 2. Her old DS-2019 will be expired at the end of July, 2011. 3. Her new DS-2019 will be renewed from Aug. 1, 2011.
My questions to you are:
1. Can she get a visa to Italy in US?
2. Is that true that she has to go back to China to renew her J1 visa even with the extended DS-2019 so that she can get back to US?
3. Does she have any alternative way to get a renewed visa in US or other countries other than China?
