I am posting this because I don’t know how to communicate to get my CPT.  The current university (2nd one) requires signatures from 3 persons—chair, program coordinator, advisor to sign on the form.

My concern is the chair. He just came a few months ago. He doesn’t look very nice—very calculating and somewhat tough.

I have several plans and written them down in order of desirability. (1) Try to get CPT from the current program. (2) Try to get enrolled into another program at the same university and start with CPT. It is ok to start with CPT if the program demands that it is necessary at the very beginning. (3) Get admitted into another university and start with CPT.

If you were me, how would you talk with the chair to get CPT? How would you talk with the program director to get admitted and persuade him/her that it is necessary to start the CPT?

 Thanks a million.
