About 1.5 years ago, I filed I-130 for my wife while I was permanent resident. It's approved quickly and we were waiting for 排期。
Couple months ago, I became a US citizen, and sent a letter to the USCIS to update the status of my wife's case. Include copy of my certificate of citizenship and all suppporting documents.
Yesterday, I received the feedback from the USCIS, with all my original letters and a letter saying. "Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding your status, USCIS has launched a new referral tracking system through our National Customer Service Center, to ensure service, please call...."
Does that mean they think I'm trying to check the status of the case and didn't do anything to update it?
We are living in the US, and both the original application and update letter were sent to the California center.
What we should do now, should we go ahead file I-485 for my wife? should we call the number? Should be send another letter?
Please advise
