I am asking a question for my friend. She entered US on B-2 and her previous I-94 expired on 05/06/02. She submitted her I-539 (to change status from B2 to F1) well before that expiration date. She got a new I-94 after her change of status application was apporoved in October. However, her new I-94 shows a starting data of 10/08/02. I am wondering if the gap between the expiration of the first I-94 and the starting date of the current I-94 will cause any problem if she later needs to re-enter USA with an AP?
She is in USA now. She may want to leave US and return later with an AP. She is now a little bit concerned about the gap between those two I-94 even if she has never been out of status.
