All,

I filed 2 I140 and 2 I 485, and the first I485 was approved today. Here is my situation, JUST for your reference.

History of my case

1. On May 2002 filed 2 I 140, based on NIW and E1A at the same time, at VSC.
2. On Oct. 2002, the first I-485 was filed based on E1A; on Dec. 2002, First finger print was done. EAD and AP were approved on Jan.2003
3. On Aug. 2003, the I-140 based on NIW was approved without REF. My attorney wrote a ltter to USCIS to require replace pending I-140 with the approved one(NIW). No response at that time.
4. On Sep.2003, the second I-140 was issued a RFE. My attorney told me one I-140 was enough and suggested me no response the RFE.
5. My attorney suggested me filed the second I-485 based on approved I-140 for my safety. In the cover letter, He said " requst to replace the pending I-140 with the approved one. If I-485 is linked to the pending I-140 strictly, please accepted the second I-485 application". The USCIS accpeted my second I-485/I765 application on late November 2003.
6. On early November 2003, I filed an application to renew my EAD based on 1st I-485. It was approved on Feb.2004. While the application for new EAD based on the 2nd I-485 was pending, until now. (USCIS officer told me via phone that only one I-765 could be accepted in I-485 stage while my attorney does not think so)
7. I noticed that the I-140 based on E1A was updated on Feb. 2004. No notice from USCIS regarding it.
8. The 3rd EAD based on 1st I485 renew was filed on Oct. 2004 and approved. The
first AP based on the second I-485 was field on Dec. 2004 and approved.
9. The 1st FP for the seond I-485 was done on Oct. 2004.
9. Today my first I-485 was approved.

Conclusion and thanks
1. It was a long history to get Green card approved. It is painful experience, and I can not imagine how I will be without the help/love of parents, friends and warm-hearted people.
2. Especial thanks to this forum, I got many good suggestions from friends and posts here.
3. Also many thanks the lawyers of "Fan Yuli, Zhang Zherui, Liang Yong". I once made phone call to them and get positive response which was verified by the results.
4. Maybe there is a trick from my experience, just for your reference: You can field a I-140 concurrently with I -485. The I-485 was used to "reserve" an early priority date. File another or more I-140 to increase the possibility. Use the approved I-140 to replace to pending I-140 in your I-485.
