Dear Friends:
My last H1b status ended on Jan.2,2005, Due to the delay caused by the company human resourse on the prevailing wage problem, the petition on an extension was delayed for 10 days but the petition was finally approved on Jan. 21,2005.During this 20-day gap, I sent the request of vacation leave to the department according to some experienced people suggestions, and now I come back to work. Under this situation, when I go to report to start work at a new position(prior postdoc now assistant scientsist),
Can I take this 20-day leave as the annul vacation and get the regular salary?
And futhermore, how to explain this gap when next to seek for a new H1b petition because they ask to give out the timeline while I stay in States?
Should I require a normal statment from Uinversity for future use?
Any suggestion will be greately appreciated!
