有了IP PIN 别人就无法以你的SSN file your tax return as IRS will not accept any return unless the return is related to  your IP PIN  .

I just got a call from one of my friends . Their return was filed by others using husband's SSN . Tax was stolen and The thief got benefit for a while (not sure what kind of benefit )using their SSN too until they got a notice from the government that they could not receive the benefit any more and they realized the stolen ... 

The cases of stolen returns are increasing per IRS....
