There is doubt that China is rising as a superpower in terms of her hard power, e.g., modern infrastructures, communication systems, military capabilities, well-organized manufacturing sector that is able to produce every items needed for people living, high-yield farming systems. The list continues and continues till exhausted. Therefore, China is having each element needed to term as a superpower. Plus, China actual GDP has been much underestimated for long time. In 2016, China GDP per capita was $28000 to $35000 US dollars, much higher than the officially announced figure - $8500.
China has a long history of over 5000 years, enjoying continuous civilization and culture inherited from ancient. Such civilization and culture is being evolved over time, that link all Chinese people without any reasons wherever they are living in this planet. This is the so-called soft power China has, that allows China to be more prospective in the future given the outside circumstance is peaceful.
However, China is facing more severe challenges both internally and externally. Fortunately, China is capable of overcoming these challenges because China has a strong governing system consisting of millions of well-trained technological bureaucrats that are led by President Xi Jinping who may be comparable to Mao ZeDong, the founder of new China. Currently, President Xi is pushing China to build up a new power - Sharp Power country wide, that advocates innovation by investing much heavily on education and science-technology, introduction of talents world wide by providing favorable compensations and R&D funds, green and renewable energy by revolutionizing manufacture modes and thinking-philosophy, high-quality living conditions by revolutionizing public (and private) washrooms, etc. It can be predicted that China must have become a beautiful and modern country by 2035 as described by President Xi in his report.
