Although a partial agreement between the US and China has been achieved regarding the trade negotiation, the major problem is yet to be resolved. It seems impossible to reach the objective of reducing $100 billion trade deficit that US has with China, either by increasing US export or reducing China export, in whatever ways. In fact, there is a discrepancy between the calculation of the US and China about trade values. In other words, the actual figure could be much smaller than ~$350 billion, given removing the trade of the third party transfers with the US from China.
Now, a big question arises that the trade could change to a real hot war between the largest two economies. Nobody wants to see this to happen.
President Trump is too busy to deal with the trade problem with China. He is going to meet the North Korea leader Kim Jong Un soon at the border between North and South Koreas. It makes sense for him to choose this meeting place because President Trump likes to ink an agreement with Mr Kim that denuclearization should be done in the Korea Peninsula. He does not want to make mistakes as his predecessors again.
The Syria problem has been cooled down a bit, but potential dangers or threats in the Mid-East are still evident. This is a headache facing President Trump, although ISIS was destroyed. Terrorism attacks or explosions seems unstoppable in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, etc. A big concern on the Iranian nuke program has been raised again since tons of documents exposed by Israel suggest that Iran has never given up its nuke program. Also, Iran has made a big progress in its missile program, that could create an unbalanced military status in the middle East.
Fortunately, a series of hard work done quickly by President Trump will lead to a solution of solving the nuke problem in the Korean Peninsula. It is intriguing to see the summit between Mr Kim and Mr Trump soon. I wish this historic meeting would bring permanent peace to the Peninsula. If so, President Trump and Mr Kim deserve the Nobel Peace Prize 2018!
Again, this world is not peaceful yet, needing a world leader to keep it peaceful and perspective. Who would be that great man or woman? You may say: God. You are right. God would appoint this man or woman.
