The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) announced on 13 June that it was “very likely” that sarin was used in Al-Lataminah (Ltamenah) in Syria’s Hamah province on 24 March 2017.
It said that its Fact Finding Mission (FFM) had also concluded that chlorine was very likely used against Al-Lataminah Hospital on the following day.
The FFM has previously said sarin was used in Al-Lataminah on 30 March 2017.
The Al-Lataminah attacks took place in the run-up to the 4 April 2017 attack on the nearby town of Khan Shaykhun that the FFM has previously said involved sarin and prompted the United States to launch a cruise missile strike against a Syrian airbase on 11 April.
