One point could be predicted if the war continues, that shall force China to invest even more heavily on Education, and R&D, to complete changing the situation that is currently pretty embarrased - as pointed out by the States that China lacks of innovation abilities. China President Xi JinPing has realized the problem for long time, and has decided to follow the path setup by Chairman Mao ZeDong - that to create a new country should rely on all hard working people in China. Maybe, this is the right way to go for China now, because the USA has banned its high-tech companies to do business with Huawei corporation - a leading company in the fields of 5G, semiconductor and telecommunication in China.
The US ban shall result in a heart-breaking pain to the China high-tech company and its associates at least in a short to medium run (e.g., 3 to 5 years). However, such a crisis could change to a great opportunity for China that must have returned to the path mentioned afore. Now, lots of signs have showed that China is on that path - focusing on domestic market rather than foreign markets, stressing education and R&D, facilitating inclusive settings in the social-political system so that to attract more talents worldwide working in China, and inceasingly improving the living conditions including reduction of air pollution and environment protection via a series of effective policies.
The is no doubt that China President Xi has continued implementing 'people-centered' policy as his priority of the government since he becomed the China leader 6 years ago. It works. In fact, the 'people-centered' policy is another form of Chairman Mao's 'Serve the People' policy. This is the key why China is becoming better, wealthy, and stronger.
Interestingly, the US President Donald Trump appears to have adopted a similar policy - Put America First, and Americans First - to Make America Great Again. Of course, his policy has showed a very good result to US economy. Although I do not supprt the trade war, I have to admit that there is nothing wrong to put the national interests first although this may not make others happy.
Well, honestly, I do not know how to solve the problems raised by the on-going US and China trade war. It needs a great wisdom that is beyond what normal persons can do.
History would witness and will tell the truth what is happening.
