英国国防大臣本·华莱士17日透露，英国开始向乌克兰提供轻型反装甲防御武器系统，以帮助后者保护自己免受“潜在的入侵”。 “我们已决定向乌克兰提供轻型反装甲防御武器系统”，华莱士说，第一批系统已于17日交付，少数英国人员将向乌克兰方面提供短期培训。
之后连续三天，英国运输机紧急向乌克兰运送“数千件”反坦克武器，到今天仍在继续。
NLAW的有限射程并不是太远，但是作为单兵反装甲也是够用，最小射程20米，最大射程600米至800米，采用攻顶时，导弹上磁传感器检测到下方金属物体(坦克顶部)，引爆锥形炸药击穿坦克顶部装甲，可以击穿500毫米装甲
