那是80年代，VHS带正开始流行，大家复制来拷贝去的不外是人们从香港，国外带回来的一些电影，电视节目。偶尔看到了81年Grammy音乐大奖的颁奖式，看到一个白人小子，黄头发，T恤衫，挂着个吉他，站在台上踩了鸡脖子般地唱一首叫《Roxanne》的歌。那就是Sting。当时司空见惯的是李双江，李光曦，连李谷一的所谓流行唱法还引起过争论。可是这个StingT恤，牛仔裤的站在台上嘶吼，那个感觉就两个字：颠覆。忽然发现：乖乖！这歌原来还可以这么唱。从此记住了Sting，也知道了摇滚。
随着年龄渐长，Sting也慢慢地失去了当年的棱角，把那扯脖子的嘶吼，换了低吟浅唱。味道反而更足了。93年，Sting出了《Fields of Gold》，这首至今还是我最喜爱的Sting的歌之一。
