Kill Bill Volume 1 Soundtrack
音乐从来都是昆汀·塔伦蒂诺电影中不可或缺的一部分，有时候可能被赋予了更重于演员角色的意义，而被用于《杀死比尔》功夫片断的乐章《Kill Bill Vol.1》显然也不例外。昆汀当然是这张唱片的执行制作人，而他明亮又阴郁的特质，只会让这张唱片更加迷人。这里收录的对话片段极少，而动听的曲子却不少，比如Santa Esmeralda的天才作品“Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood”。而Charlie Feathers的“That Certain Female”伴着酷酷的摇滚味吉他；Luis Bacalov的“西部意粉味”，还有来自Wu Tang Clan的RZA作品“Ode to Oren”。这些都不是常规虚弱的作品，打破电影中连续性规则之后，音乐显然为听众制造了无限种可能

BECK - Guero (2005)
在做完[Sea Change]这张专辑后，Beck的角色又来了个180度大转弯。[Guero]是Beck自2002年的[Sea Change]之后的全新创作，内容一共收录了13首歌曲，而Guero是西班牙文，意思是指“白种男孩”之意。新专辑中包含大量party即兴元素和block-rokin'节奏，很明显这是Beck开拓出的新领域。
这张专辑是由他与前任的老搭档The Dust Brothers共同制作而成，同时White Stripes的主唱Jack White也前来跨刀相助，在专辑中的一首Go It Alone中负责贝斯的弹奏部分。对于Beck而言，这张新作[Guero]其乐风相当激进，“我为这张专辑工作了很长一段时间，不过我却是先完成[Sea Change]这张专辑，然后才完成这张作品，一直以来我都很想要做一张有著吵杂吉他弹奏的专辑！”他在接受滚石杂志时说道。

Thrash Metal的老家伙们也回来了不少，其中最引人注目的当属MEGADETH的专辑The System Has Failed，当年Dave Mustaine的因伤告别让无数人扼腕痛惜，万幸的是Dave终于战胜了伤病，带领着MEGADETH重新杀了回来！不过The System Has Failed这张专辑让人感觉有点......怎么说呢，就好像有人要请你吃海鲜大餐，等你兴冲冲的到了以后却发现餐桌上的是一个大火锅，倒不是说火锅不好吃，可是给你的感觉总是有些别扭。这张专辑也是如此，同以往MEGADETH的作品一样，有相当的水准，有不少比较精彩的段落，Dave Mustaine也还是那个Dave Mustain，尽管臂伤还是对他有些影响（速度似乎比以前有点慢），但影响不大，可要是把这张专辑当成Thrash Metal来听就感觉很别扭，或许我们不要把它当成是Thrash Metal的回归作品就更容易接受了吧。类似的作品还有DEATH ANGEL的The Art Of Dying，这张专辑似乎是要延续Act III时期的风格，发行之后却令很多Thrash Metal铁杆们大失所望。的确，这张专辑虽然有意的去效仿Act III，但是似乎没有得到以往DEATH ANGEL音乐的神髓，整张专辑听起来显得比较乏味，再不客气一点的说，就是比较难听，但愿DEATH ANGEL能够重新抖擞精神，象以前那样继续为大家奉献优秀的Thrash Metal作品。2004年真正优秀的Thrash Metal作品我认为是EXODUS的Tempo Of The Damned，Paul Baloff的去世并没有让EXODUS丧失斗志，相反，他们在Baolff故去两年之后拿出了这张出色的Thrash Metal作品，尽管这张专辑并没有达到Bonded By Blood那样的高度，但作为EXODUS的回归之作，能够有这样的水准，已经很了不起了。可惜的是在专辑发行之后，主唱Steve Souza因为无法保证参加乐队的巡演而被开除出队，但愿这件事情不会对乐队的发展不会造成太大的影响（据说他们现在已经找到了新的主唱）。另外，以往的Thrash Metal老炮们也有一些在2004年发行了新专辑，比如ANVIL、TANKARD等，这些专辑虽然不算出彩，但也都有相当的水准，在此不再赘述。

The OffSpring - Smash
1994年他们请回了 Thom Wilson 制作专辑[Smash]，力争更大的突破，他们大胆地将朋克与重摇滚相融合，使音乐更加根源化。[Smash]取得了巨大的成功，1995年在美国就已经有了4白金的销量，单曲“Smash It Up”被收入电影[蝙蝠侠]的原声专辑，这为他们在乐坛赢得了进一步的声望。
