Last Friday, Sharp Corp. began selling its 1-gigabyte MP-E300 portable digital music player. The machine is capable of using the Napster Internet song download service.
Together with the 512Mb MP-E200, which will be available at a later date, the players also will be able to handle music files such as WMA, MP3 and AAC.
The MP-E300 is expected to go for about 21,000 yen ($165), while the MP-E200 is expected to retail for 16,000 yen ($135).
