New York Philharmonic Season Opening with Yo-Yo Ma on 9/18
9:45AM: FREE Dress Rehearsal. Conducted by Lorin Maazel, with cello virtuoso Yo-Yo Ma; free tickets (along with discount coupons for future Philharmonic performances) will be distributed beginning at 8:00AM as the New York Philharmonic Principal Brass Quintet serenades you.
6:00 PM: The Gala Benefit. Begins with a black-tie cocktail party, continues with the all-Dvorák concert, and concludes with a festive dinner with the artists.
7:30PM: Concert and FREE Plaza-cast. The concert begins with simultaneous projection onto a large screen on Lincoln Center's Josie Robertson Plaza. No tickets are required, but chairs will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Concert tickets are running out, so this is a great way to share the glamour and excitement of a Philharmonic Opening Night!
