Nick Cave应该是当今摇滚乐坛最邪恶的黑暗摇滚魔鬼，它往往能够用最舒缓低沉的旋律制造最为恐怖的绝望、痛苦与死亡气息。Nick Cave出生在澳洲，当令人匪夷所思的是他丝毫没有受到澳大利亚清新吉他派乐队或AC/DC传统重金属的影响，入道初期就组建了一支极端试验风格的硬核哥特乐队Birthday Party并担任主唱兼灵魂人物。这支乐队从后朋克延伸出的邪恶、狂躁与黑暗、死亡的哥特氛围相融合，制造出最刺耳暴戾的硬核歌声，Nick的疯狂吼叫足以撕裂任何听者的耳膜与心灵防线。

虽然Birthday Party在其鼎盛时期解散了，可是它对之后的黑暗音乐的影响是难以估量的，许多后来的哥特乐队上都闪现着他们的影子。Birthday Party解散后，Nick Cave组建了Nick Cave ＆ Bad Seeds，逐渐的，Nick Cave从暴戾张扬的硬核转向了更为黑色的死亡民谣音乐风格，离开了表述疯狂的嘶吼而选择了黑色理性的低沉呻吟倾诉。而倾诉的内容却是凡人都挥之不去的苦痛、迷失、焦虑、恐惧与死亡。或许，魔鬼派了他最邪恶的儿子来到世间，而他选择了流传广泛且最具渲染杀伤力的摇滚乐作为惩罚世人的刑具。

路人在长途跋涉时不经意间发现了这座花园，他看见了一只野玫瑰。他是如此忘我的喜欢她，这份情来得是如此的湍急。他根本不加思考的就伸手想摘下她把她一起带走。但是他太着急了，他忘了玫瑰是带刺的。他受伤了，濦红的鲜血从他五指间渗出，这血也是同样如此的湍急。。。而这只玫瑰是如此留恋这这片土地，她告诉他，她还是愿意留在这片土地上。他扭过头去，原来，他哭了。这么多年第一次感到了这样的伤心。但是最终他还是选择了微笑，因为他知道，他这样的人，除了微笑别无选择。。。
今夜他决定了，他将再次上路，不再停留。又将驰骋在那孤独的大漠上。只是那朵玫瑰不曾知道，她的一根刺扎的太深了，他跟本不可能将它拔出。他只能强忍着痛，只在孤独的无人深夜仰天长啸。。。
