Microscopic Description : 6 years old female mixed breed canine. FNA of a mammary nodule:
One slide examioned. The aspirate is low in cellularity and has a moderate amount of blood contamination. Low numbers of neutrophils and small lymphocytes is present. The inflammatory cells appear and proportional for the blood contamination. No microorganisms, inflammatory or evidence of neoplasia were observed.Microscopic Findings: inconclusiveComment: the sample consist of peripheral blood contamination. Either another aspirate of diagnostic quality or a biopsy should be performed for conclusive interpretation.
