“1975年出生的Chusovitina,从1992年参加巴塞罗那奥运会,当时还代表独联体出战,夺得女子体操的团体金牌。独联体解散后,她代表乌兹别克参赛,1996年亚特兰大奥运会后,21岁的她因浑身的伤病而退役。
然而2002年,27岁已届‘体操高龄’的Chusovitina却复出,原来是她的大儿子罹患白血病,她必须靠奖金支付医药费!在德国体操人士帮助下,全家带儿子远赴德国接受治疗,她为了医药费、为了报恩,曾经加入德国国籍,在2008年北京奥运会上代表德国队勇夺一枚银牌。
2016年儿子痊愈后,她又重披乌兹别克战袍,就这样坚持到现在,46岁,八次参加奥运体操赛。‘儿子未痊愈,我不敢老’这句话成为她的名言,也让奥运多了点洋葱味。”
