my verizon HTC diamond couldnot find satellite, do I have to unl telestan2010-10-08 18:36:48

Thanks 小分队员， I installed garmin gps software on my HTC diamond for Verizon.  After garmin installation,  it couldn't find satellite.   The gps is on port com4 at baud 4800.  I tried htc quickGPS. QuickGPS ran, and downloaded 100% -- I assume it is successful.  Garmin still keeps acquring satellite.   Then I installed gpsViewer, still it couldn't find satellite either. From the screen of gspviewer, i can see data keeps sending to query com4, but no satellite is found.

So my fundmental question is, do I have to unlock the phone from verizon to make GPS work?

Then change the default port from 1 to 4 in Garmin settings

I did that -- Use Serial GPS, COM4:COM4, it still says GPS is O

Then try Tomtom or iGo, they are way better than Garmin anyway

Tomtom works! Although it does not have TTS, I am still happy.
