Wow, this might be Samsung’s next Galaxy Player, at least according to a rumor, but it has a screen that’s large enough to be the company’s next tablet, too. The device looks really similar to a Galaxy S III, save for the obvious 3G/4G connectivity and the clear focus on media consumption.
In any case, it apparently sports a huge 5.8-inch display (the Galaxy Note has a 5.3-inch screen, by comparison), with a 960 x 540-pixel resolution, a 3-megapixel camera, a VGA-front facing camera, 1GB of RAM, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a large 2,500mAh battery, a microSD card slot and an FM radio. Sounds pretty stacked, but we kind of wish that Samsung would add in S Pen functionality and turn this into a smaller Galaxy Note tablet.
There’s a strong possibility the new Galaxy Player, which goes by the moniker YP-GP1, according to SamMobile, will be unveiled during IFA at the end of the month. TechnoBuffalo will be storming the show floor daily bringing you news, photos and video, so stay tuned for more!
