Can someone please tell me how to replace the BIOS chip on my Sony Laptop. First let me tell you what happened. I tried to upgrade to XP from Windows 98SE. Sony told me to download new drivers and a BIOS upgrade. I upgraded the BIOS from my floppy drive. During the flash, the laptop just restarted. It restarted blank and now, it doesn't work at all. So, I bought a replacement BIOS chip. Can someone show me how to safely remove the old BIOS and replace it with a new one?
