I have successfully upgraded my NEC Versa VXi CPU from PIII650 to PIII850 today. I started to collect information for upgrading my laptop several weeks ago. Today I made the final decision to buy PIII850 instead of PIII1GHz. After instalation, I tested it for over 2 hours. The speed has been greatly improved by operating Windows XP professional. The bettary can last over 1 hour to see DVD movie. Cooling system works mormally. When using the mains, CPU is identified by the system as PIII847, and when using the battery, it is identified as PIII697. It works OK!!!
