Hi,
this is my first time posting in this forum, so sorry if I posted the question at the wrong place.
well, I just got a new SAMSUNG 160G hard drive and a new 3.5 Metal Gear Box enclosure. When I connect everything to my laptop through USB... my computer detects the enclosure and the hard drive... but the only problem is that it's not shown... I was reading different forums and notices that they all say new hard drive should be formatted before use. Well, the only proble is that I have just throw my VERY VERY VERY old desktop away and now I only got a laptop, so I can't really install it into my laptop and formate it.
I have also read that it was possible to format the hard drive throught the USB port, the only problem is that I don't know how... because like I wrote earlier, my laptop detects the hard drive and the enclosure, but it just doesn't show it in My Computer...
so can anyone help?
