Hi, guys, I am trying to update SAS from version 8 to version 9.1.3, but got an error at almost the first step--set up Java runtime envarionment 1.4.1. The error is %1 is not a valid win32 application. I also tried other ways to do it, but all failed. I am pretty sure, the CD in my hand is not a copied one, should be work well. It is my PC SAS, my operation system is windows 2000.
I just checked few webpages about this error, some suggest me restart my computer and log in as system administer. I am afraid I can not do this since I am not system administer. Does anybody has experience with this? I believe all computers in this team are managing by system administor.
I still remember, when I installed SAS 8 with my computer, I did not ask anybody else to give me any kind of permision. It seems SAS 9 has different story.
Please give me your idea for any point will be appreciated.
