question in starting up kf_ying2003-09-07 21:06:00

there is only one hard drive in my pc (dell optiplex). In startup, it always spends almost 30 seconds and then says "primary disk 1 not found". In setup, it shows primary hard disk 0, and primary hard disk 1, their type are AUTO. there is no data for primary disk 1.

can someone tell me how to stop it detecting primary disk 1 in startup?
