My printer is locally connected to windows 98 machine and print sharing is enabled. My Window XP machine sees the printer in the network neighborhood. In order to access the remote printer from XP, I tried to add a new network printer, however it comes up ask me to install proper driver. Since the printer is not locally conneted to the XP system, why it needs a printer driver? The problem is my printer is a very old CANNON multipass 3500, I couldn't find the driver for XP. Can any help me on this? Thanks a lot.
