please help answer my questions:
i have a computer with pentium 2.6G cpu(3 years). it is not fast enough for my process. i always see 100%cpu used and video display is not alwayssmooth. i plan to buy a new computer. but not sure which one is better for me: the dual core cpu or a single cpu. i have seen 2.8G dual core cpu vs 3.4G single cpu on the market for the reasonable price range. can anyone tell me how the dual core cpu works. if my single process need more than 2.8G (say 3G speed), can dual core cpu use both core to speed up? i am not sure what speed my process really needs. i heard from someone that about 3G cpu should be okay. please explane the difference between these two type of cpus.
