I have paid my lawyer $1,500. He edited my recommandations and finished the cover letter. However, his assitant sucks. Not responsible at all and made a lot of unacceptable mistakes. Futhermore, for some silly mistake the lawyer also didn't aknowledge and tried to hide the mistake that made me angry.
I want to know if I can fire him at this point. I am afraid that he will do some dirty thing if I fire him. Because this guy know immigtration officers.
Lessons:
(1) Never trust internet. If someone said some lawyer is good that is only a single case.
Ask your friends and talk with the lawyer well help you make decision.
Internet is only for references.
(2) If your background is good (I think you know) and have time Do IT Yourself.
That can save not only money aslo time. Most importantly you can put 100% effort on
your own case.
