I want to share my experience with you on changing address during 485 pending:
After moving from CT to NY last month, I filled the NR-11 and sent it to USCIS VSC together with a copy of my 485 receipt (on June 24, 2005).
The my LUD of 140/485/765 changed on July 14 and 15, I thought they might start processing my 485, but today I received a mail from VSC confirming the success of changing address, and unfortunately, the date of the letter is July 14, 2005.
