Social Security card after GC feelingthe2005-08-22 21:59:42

Hi, I recently got my Green card stamp on my passport, valid for 1 year, still waiting for offical Green card mailed to me. Should I go to Social Security office now to get the Work authorizaton clauses removed from SS card? Is the new Socail Security card going to be valid only for 1 year too? or I should wait until I got the permanent GC. Thanks for help.
