I am going to graduate from school at the end of this month. I accepted a job offer from company A in April. Then I asked school to file my OPT application. Around the same time, the company A filed my H1-B application. I obtained the approval of OPT and H1-B at the same time in August. However, during those time the company A went through a major restructuring and the group I am going to join will be sold to company B in the near future. My job will also be spun off to company B, which I have no interests to join. I think it is fair for me to look for other possiblities for obvious reasons. Recently I found another company C which is willing like to hire me. However, I don't know what is the right way to let me legally working for company C as soon as possible. My question is

1. My H1-B for company A will be valid from 10/01/05. Can I cancel this H1-B before 10/01/05 and use my OPT to work for company C?

2. I can ask company C to file H1-B application for me very soon. Before the new H1-B is approved, can I stil work for company A until the new H1-B is approved?

Please give me some advice. Thanks a lot.
