we went to Houston ASC today and did our fingerprint successfully. No problem at all for the people from new orleans office area. Even if it is not your scheduled time, it is ok. Also no need to make a appointment in advance. Just show up there.
Also check out the USCIS website. You can go to any ASC nearby. Good luck!
